This year, we will examine the stories of Israeli author and Nobel Laureate S.Y. Agnon (1888-1970). His stories are at once satirical and poignant, serious and humorous, bridging the gap between the lost world of Jewish Europe and that of modern Israel. Our text will be S.Y. Agnon, The Book that was Lost and other Stories. Co-sponsored by the JCC. Instructor: Jody Hirsh. Location: JCC Campus, 6255 N.
